Guidelines for Enhanced Discussion Posts:
All of our discussions in this course are “Enhanced Discussions” and you can think of your initial discussion post as a mini-essay (4-5 concise paragraphs) in which you write about perceptions and insights related to the assigned readings and the discussion prompts/questions provided by the instructor. This means that your initial discussion post must be very well developed to include details, organization, grammar, punctuation. In particular, make sure that as you write your initial discussion post you respond to the discussion questions by including:
Terminology from the assigned reading in bold font
Theories from the assigned readings in bold font
Concepts from the assigned readings in bold font
Your own examples of topics from the assigned reading including the terminology, theories, concepts in the text; this should demonstrate you understand the assigned readings.
Your posts must be original and not imitate the post of any classmate; no two posts can be identical
Your initial post should be well developed: 4-5 paragraphs For some discussion posts, you may be required to post before seeing the posts of classmates
