4.2.5. Testing and Calibration Measurements
What testing will you do once you arrive to calibrate your instruments? Explain your plan for preliminary testing once at your desired location to ensure that all science instrumentation is functioning properly. What control variables will you base these experiments on? Give details in your testing plan showing you have thought about the necessary variables to be tested and what is expected.
After we start the conversation, I’ll share the short paragraphs that you can use and understand the concept.
I would like to receive it in 8 hours because it is a short response.
The sample response would look like::::::
I think you can just mention that we’ll test the rover’s instruments and see if the readings are what would be expected. the first test will be done outside of the cave, so it will be on the surface of Mars, where plenty of other rovers have taken readings. the readings from the instruments could be like control variables. we know what they should be, and during a preliminary test, we’ll find out if they are actually what they should be – that’s pretty much the calibration. you could also talk about doing a test to ensure each feature of the rover is getting enough power, and maybe even doing a test on Earth to ensure each instrument can take readings within the expected range. those ideas should probably be enough for this section.
