Using the information in the case analysis “Cultural Change that Sticks” and information from Chapters 4 and 5 (and any other research you think is pertinent), describe how you would develop an optimal working relationship with a client (which is in this case, the company), and what intervention strategies you would use to solve their problems. The client is fictional; the emphasis however should be on your interventions. For example, how would you diagnosis an organization’s problems? (e.g., survey, focus group, anonymous electronic board, other?). In other words, what tools in your consultant toolkit do you have to unearth what is potentially wrong, and once you have found the issue, how do you go about solving. The problem is generic; what I am interested in is your approach as a third party interventionist. Change is indeed a top down process, as described in Take it from the Top. (500 – 600 words).
Discussion 2: After reading “A Case Study of a Failed Organization Development Intervention Rooted in the Employee Survey Process” and using your readings, related experience, and associated research discuss what intervention strategies to avoid (approximately 300 words).
